How to Clear Browser Cookies

If you are experiencing issues with the application loading, or if you simply want to reset the app to its default state, clearing your browser cookies and site data is the best solution.

⚠️ Important Warning: Online Pad uses your browser's Local Storage to "Autosave" your notes. Clearing your cookies/site data will permanently delete the current text in the editor. Please save your work to your computer (.txt file) before proceeding.

Google Chrome

1. Click the three dots in the top-right corner of the browser.
2. Go to Settings > Privacy and security > Delete browsing data.
3. Select Cookies and other site data.
4. Click Delete data.

Mozilla Firefox

1. Click the menu button (three lines) and select Settings.
2. Select the Privacy & Security panel.
3. In the Cookies and Site Data section, click Clear Data.
4. Check Cookies and Site Data and click Clear.

Safari (macOS)

1. Go to Safari in the top menu bar > Settings (or Preferences).
2. Click the Privacy tab.
3. Click Manage Website Data.
4. Search for the website name or click Remove All.

Microsoft Edge

1. Go to Settings > Privacy, search, and services.
2. Under Clear browsing data, select Choose what to clear.
3. Check Cookies and other site data and select Clear now.
